Are the smartwatch manufacturers fleeing from Google and its Android Wear?

2015 is, for all analysts, the decisive year in the implementation of smart in the market and that is why clocks are producing movements more than evident on both sides that we thought existed until now: Android Wear and iOS. But this is not quite true, that these ‘wearables’ are still the perfect spot to do tastings with other OS mobile. Do you know the reasons?

Looking for a plan B

When the last year Google announced Android Wear it seemed it would again be the reference of the devices that were going to take on Apple and its Watch. That as it already happens in smartphones, success was assured by the manufacturers wouldn’t invest in putting a new OS on the market but to worry about the design and little else.

But months pass and is becoming more common to see that some major manufacturers are fleeing from Android Wear, exploring other alternatives that depart them on Mountain View power are accumulating, probably to prevent the platform to become the hegemonic thanks to the work of the Samsung, LG, Sony, Motorola, etc.

And so, Samsung is becoming more convinced to continue with its Tizen, LG has introduced in its G Watch Urbane LTE (in the picture below) the famous WebOS and Sony has already announced that it is working on other alternatives to Android Wear to put them in its range SmartWatch.

The market of smart watches

In the year 2014 were sold a total of 7 million smart clocks, of which only 1.2 belonged to Samsung. The Koreans have some models with Android Wear, but your device star is the Gear S with Tizen. And it works swimmingly.

As you have seen, LG or Sony are in the same position and even to you have another front, President of Huawei has already said that Android Wear is not a platform that is open enough to enter your ‘wearable’… so they are seeking their own alternative?

The important news like this is coming to realize the anger of many manufacturers starting to perceive the Mountain View as a threat rather than an ally, could produce the first to pay the ‘duck’ whatever Android Wear and smart watches.

Do you think really that the market is evolving to try to leave behind Google’s operating system? They have these companies escape after both years and efforts to deploy Android on all aspects of the market of mobile devices? What do you think?
